When someone goes into cardiac arrest, their heart stops pumping blood. That means oxygen can't reach the brain and vital organs. Without oxygen, brain cells start to die within 4 to 6 minutes. ⏱️
That’s where CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) comes in.
💥 The Science:CPR manually keeps blood flowing to the brain and heart. Chest compressions squeeze the heart between the sternum and spine, creating artificial circulation. Combined with rescue breaths (in some cases), CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival.
👉 The key? High-quality, uninterrupted chest compressions at a rate of 100–120 per minute and about 2 inches deep for adults.
